Wrox United is a fictional football team created by the team of authors responsible for Beginning ASP.NET 2.0, published by Wrox Press (an imprint of Wiley). As readers work through the book, they create a website exactly like the Wrox United example site.

Frog Box Design was in charge of the Wrox United branding effort: we designed the skin for the Wrox United website and as a result, Louise came to be immortalised as the team’s “healer”. We began by designing the logo and creating example goods for the fictional team’s online shop. We even gave life to the team mascot, Lucky, who was described as a three‑legged dog, blind in one eye, with an ear bitten off and a bad case of the mange. Although we didn’t have the heart to create a one‑eyed, one‑eared dog, the mascot available in the team shop does only have three legs, but you have to look carefully!
