Semi-serious CV

Schrödinger, the Frog Box Design frog

Louise is a freelance graphic and web designer whose career has followed an eclectic path. She started in academia at the University of Birmingham, gaining first a Bachelors degree in English, and then a Masters in ‘Editing Medieval Manuscripts’ because you never know when being able to read old, bad handwriting will come in handy.

When she finally ran out of money and joined the “real world”, Louise worked in publishing, where she helped dream up the project that became Constructing Accessible Web Sites (and later Web Accessibility; education, where she helped improve the exam marking process; and marketing, where she fell in love with a Macintosh.

Louise ran away with her trusty Mac to start a graphic and web design business, Frog Box Design, where they make beautiful things together. She is a member of the Guild of Accessible Web Designers (GAWDS), and a published photographer. She is also a keen swimmer and has recently re-discovered badminton. She hasn’t yet tried to combine the two.
